1.28.10 Prerelease screen display
When I open the program and load the GPX file I typically use, the column width for the time is too narrow and as a result I do not see the AM or PM associated with the time shown. Instead there are ... showing. As I cannot adjust the column width myself, I cannot cure the problem. Please make the column wider, so that ALL of the time, including the AM and the PM are shown. TIA...Smile

Sorry, forgot about the AM/PM stuff when I tried to reduce the size of the columns.

Is it still interesting for you to switch to Miles/hour for speed and to Feet above sea level for elevation?

As an option it would be nice to be able to, since everything in the U.S. is in mph and feet, while in Canada we use BOTH all the time... just as stores give prices per pound and per kilo for all veggies, meat, seafood, and so on.

I've suggest RouteConverter to a gent from the U.S. who is asking for how to set up to get miles as he does not do metric <grin> so it is still coming up regularly to me. I've suggested he write in and ask as well.

Would that gent and you be willing to test for me, if it works and whether I've caught all places where lengths are displayed? My plan then would be to stay with metric values internally, offer an option to switch to miles and do the conversion on the view level.

Christian, I am willing... I do not know about him, but I told him to write to you so you may get a request from him separately. However I think he is really trying to SAVE the resulting file [KLM] with miles and not metric. I am guessing there, however.

[PS, the wording should be "whether I've caught all places where lengths are displayed", if you check in an English dictionary.] Caught and catch are interrelated...

For those whose are more familiar with the imperial/statute/anglo-american system (what's the best name here?) with feet and miles: Please check the latest RouteConverter prerelease which I've just uploaded. Under Extras/Options... there is an option to modify the measurement system.
