Us sailors often have the need of route conversions in one way or another.

Would be great to have the option of 'nm' nautical miles etc..

Would also be great when editing tracks to change (del/add) waypoints
every 'x' minutes and every 'x' nm

Is there a way to delete superflous waypoints in straight tracks?

Hi Tore,

the prerelease versions have support for displaying statute miles.

Deleting waypoints every 'x' meters is available via 'Positions/Remove duplicate positions... '

Adding is available via 'Positions/Insert positions... ' - if you use 'Positions/Remove duplicate positions... ' afterwards it might serve your needs.

I'll provide this in the next version. What's the unit for elevation values then? Meters or what is typical in the marine context?

I believe, feet (ft) should be useful for nautical purposes.

But... dont' forget...

Nautical miles are used in aeronautic context, too.
Flight levels (FL) are separated by 100ft. FL 60 is equal to 6.000ft.

Lat/Long syntax may be different in nautic/aeronautic context.
N 53°37,3' / E 9°59,6' is burned in my brain. Simply the position to be manually entered during repair of inertial reference units at our workshop location (my business since 1984...)

The units for 'elevation' should be 'feet' and 'hundreds of feet'. This leads to two different modes. 'Hidden options' may be used, but I don't like them.

The most useful Lat/Long syntax for nautical context should be confirmed by other forum members. Maybe sailors, motorboat drivers or so. I believe the present syntax may be useful, too.
