Time interpolation

the following is still valid:

The interpolation is realized at the present Prerelease, too:

• Load a waypoint list with known times
• Mark a line in the waypoint list
• Put the Mouse Pointer to the point at the card where you like to insert a point
• Press Right Mouse Button, followed by 'Insert'

A point is inserted at desired position. The time is interpolated.

You may also use the [Insert] button or the yellow star button below the position list to insert a point. A new point will be inserted at the half of the air-to-air connection of the marked point and the next point. The time will be interpolated, too.

With this method, we insert new points "interpolated," but my intention is as follows:

1. I have a list of points.
2. The point 1 and point N have the value of time (I know his value because I noted at the time of being in that place, or because I have a picture in that place and I can take his time on EXIF's data)
3. Can RC complete the list of points interpolated in time way that it can do it with altitude, speed, coordinates,...? (Selecting points > right button)

Actually not. And I don't know if this is at Christians' to-do list

I tried a little bit and observed the following:

Realistic interpolated values (time, date and year) are inserted when adding points and a) the marked line or b) the line above the marked line has a realistic time information.

The present PC time (time, date and year) is inserted when adding points and a) the marked line or b) the line above the marked line has no time information.

The idea is that given 5 positions

A 12:00
B
C
D
E 12:04

when you select the positions A to E that RouteConverter distributes the time interval between A and E evenly on B to D? Such that the result is

A 12:00
B 12:01
C 12:02
D 12:03
E 12:04

You're right, it's not on my todo-list - although there is a lot of stuff on it.

You've actually reverse engineered the current implementation ;-) I've tried my best to preserve or preset as much information as possible.
