Some explanation about the definition of "overall ascend" - jclaudej - 29.08.2016 Hello, I don't understand how is calculated "overall ascend" in the application. Is this really the difference in height, ie the cumulative realized during the runs ? For example, in my hike I do a first ascent of 500 meters positive and after I descend 400 meters and goes up to 500 meters. Normally the result should be + 1000 meters positive and - 400 meters in negative. Is it correct ? Because I do not feel that calculates what to do like that. Kind regards Jean Claude RE: Some explanation about the definition of "overall ascend" - routeconverter - 30.08.2016 (29.08.2016, 10:55)jclaudej Wrote: For example, in my hike I do a first ascent of 500 meters positive and after I descend 400 meters and goes up to 500 meters. Not always. RouteConverter sums up the positive and negative deltas between 2 subsequent positions. And, each time, they are the big difference between RouteConverter and ViewRanger GPS who him add all elevations during my trip. But this isn't a problem for me, just a surprise during my first trips Kind regards Jean-Claude |
