Convert track to route takes 2,500 points down to 7 - haydnw - 07.03.2019
I'm using RouteConverter for Mac to convert a GPX track containing approximately 2,500 trackpoints into a route instead. When I select the menu option it works, but the converted route only has 7 points and is therefore not very detailed. I can't find any way to customise this option - am I doing something wrong, or have I just missed a setting somewhere? Thanks!

Try Menu -> Position -> Delete Duplicate Positions
There you'll find several options to remove redundant / duplicate positions.

Thanks - the deletion of positions works OK, but I still only get 7 remaining when I convert Track to Route (starting with approx. 400 track points this time, instead of the original 2500).

This worked for me as well.
