GPX generated file and single quote in comment - tybern - 12.03.2019
Hello,
I'm using various softwares for GPS data, and (almost) one of them (Twonav LAND) has a problem with GPX files generated by RouteConverter (it say that it is corrupted).
After investigations, I discovered that it is because of the single quote in the comment on top of the file :

the " ' " in Pesch's is the problem, the file works if I delete this single quote...
And it is because it is alone, if I replace by " Peschs " or by " Pesch's' ", it works.
Don't know if it's or not an XML restriction (I supposed no), but may be it will be useful to know for somebody else in case of same kind of problem...

Thank you for providing that information here. In fact, I came across lots of GPS applications which have problems with reading and writing XML correctly.

Hello,
I've given up with Strava Labs and RidewithGPS too because of the issues with GPX files. All of those generated by RouteConverter appear to be corrupted when working with Strava GPX import, for example. Has anyone tried RidewithGPS or Strava here? Any ideas how to avoid this issue?

I've removed the single quote in the latest prerelease of RouteConverter to make the life with picky/broken services and tools easier. I hope this helps.
