GoRider viaGPS 4.5
#1
GoRider Biker motorcycle navigation software viaGPS 4.5 is very advanced and innovative but a nice routeconverter is missing...

So the GoRider viaGPS 4.5 software needs to be added to the converter so also GoRider users can use routeconverter.

For you guys to better understand the route file format I've attached a tomtom itn route file and a converted GoRider rt route file. I needed to add .txt on the end othwerwise couldn't upload it.

Extra info:
NAME info is the route file name but it is not showing this title in the menu from GPS. But you must use at least #NAME="name from file" otherwise it will not show the route in the list. In the GPS routes list it is showing from every route the first street name and last street name.
Both the first street and last street name you can use the filename or title from route so you can see which route you want to choose.

After the first line comes the PT points where first and last street names must contain the file or route title. The file must exist of at least street names and its corresponding PT points. So also all other points always need to have street info. Street name info can be everything doesn't need to be correct. But you can't leave street names away otherwise file will not be useful.

This means the format of the file must be:

#NAME="name from file"
STREET="name from file" PT="*.***** **.*****"
STREET="street name" PT="*.***** **.*****"
...
...
STREET="street name" PT="*.***** **.*****"
STREET="name from file" PT="*.***** **.*****"

It is simple and I hope I explained it clearly enough Smile

Hi gpronk,

as a TomTom Rider 1 user I'm always looking for new navigation devices targetting the usage on motorcycles like GoRider GPS. So I've just uploaded a first prerelease of RouteConverter that offers a GoRiderGPS (*.rt) format. Please test and report.

I'm using the name of the route here. When the source is a .itn file and you don't modify the route name, it's the description of the first and the last position.

I'm using the description of the first and the last position here, too. So users can update the descriptions and provide meaningful information.

Please test if street names can be empty ("") and if they can contain umlauts, slashes, colons...

the prerelease is working, the files are OK.

The text between the "" can be all normal letters and icons.
Only it is not showing \ backslashes, " punctuation marks and no umlauts.
So this means icons -+_=*#!?@^&():;.,$%'`~/{}[] are all recognized.

When only use "" it will show the GPS location instead of street name.

Dont use icons <> on street name location (between "") otherwise system will not recognize the complete route and causes a system error.

No umlauts?

Ok, I've just uploaded another prerelease that replaces all < and > with spaces for STREET locations to make sure this won't happen.

Yes, no umlauts
When using letters with umlaut it will not show these letters in the GPS.
