RENAMING A WAY POIINT

Greetings!

I would like to know if there is a way to rename a waypoint? 

ex:  waypoint 5 i want to rename it to GAS STOP, so it comes up on my GPS as GAS STOP.

I'm using Route Converter 2.19 and Copilot GPS android app

Hi TJ,

do a double-click in the field with the name. Then you can edit it. Same with other fields like latitude, longitude.

This should work when your GPS displays your waypoint 5 as 'waypoint 5'.

Nonetheless it depends on the GPS what it displays. Imagine a GPS that does some kind of internal geocoding and displays the geocoding result instead of the name that is edited in the waypoint list. Editing the name won't work in this case.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give it a try and post back with the results.

update on above suggestion. In co pilot gps it works for the trip display,after i calcualte route, but it skips over whatever i renamed when i start the route.
