Navigon 2090s problem
#1
Hi,

I have been trying to use an rte file on my Navigon 2090s. I have used a map from google and added &output=kml and saved it with a .gpx extension. I then have converted it to a mb6 rte file and saved it to the routes folder. When I try to load a save route on the device, the file is not listed. However, it is saved on the device because I can view it with windows explorer. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

After trying out different things, this is what I have discovered. The unit will not display rte files, however, I have been able to get it to display the name of the file if I change it to a .route file. No gps information is displayed when i do this. Does anyone no if this is a new file format for Navigon?

Here is a (german) posting saying that after copying the route to the device the user created a new route on the device with only 2 waypoints and was then able to load the file created by RouteConverter.

.route Files indicate you use Navigon 7. They're binary decoded and not supported by RouteConverter. But there is a new XML-based format called .freshroute which is supported by the latest RouteConverter prerelease. Several users reported that it works for them.
