Let's see...
I grabbed the default route colour with 'Paint' and got this:
![[Image: aaa.jpg]](http://picload.org/image/cdaaodo/aaa.jpg)
6cb1f3 ???
6cb1f3
![[Image: 6cb1f3.jpg]](http://picload.org/image/cdaalaa/6cb1f3.jpg)
7174f0
![[Image: 7174f0.jpg]](http://picload.org/image/cdaaopo/7174f0.jpg)
89383f
![[Image: 89383f.jpg]](http://picload.org/image/cdaaopc/89383f.jpg)
I believe I will stay at 89383f or something similar for a while. IMHO a maroon-like colour has a good contrast against usual map colours. Your example in post #3 of this thread is a good one, too. Width and opacity are at useful defaults.
