Connected with this - I was zoomed in on a point, expanded the position list to fill the screen, restored the position list to where it was and the map zoomed out to display the whole track, which was 103 miles long, so I had to do quite a bit of zooming-in to get back to where I was.
Also, when zooming using the + & - keys it would be better to zoom around the centre of the displayed map, as it is the point under examination wanders off and has to be brought back by dragging the map.
