At home, RC runs totally fine, and I'm very glad I found it.
At the office, I have to use a http proxy with authentification as part of our security policy.
RC (netstart) does not run well in this environment:
- JRE is up to date (last update in last Tuesday)
- When starting, three instances of "Sicherheitsausnahmefehler" - java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: socket" appear
- after clicking "ok", RC powers up, but:
-- map view on the left side does not appear
-- when using right click -> Add coords, the same error appears again, and additional a message from RC: "Can't connect to SOCKS proxy:Connection refused: connect" appears
In Firefox (my default browser), the proxy parameters are set and work fine. In Java systemtray, network options are set to "use browser configuration".
I think the problem may be the authorization to the proxy because that is not part of the browser configuration, and RC or Java does not ask for username / pw.
