This first thread is for intoduce myself.
I'm a french sailor and I use Opencpn (a great opensource navigation software)
As a SAR crewmember, Opencpn doesn't correspond at the moment at my special needs in term of search pattern.
What's a search pattern? A predefined route that have to be transported at a starting waypoint.(datum)
I just discovered with great interest RouteConverter today. I'm really interested by the "drag and drop" function.
I have opened my route (.gpx), I have selected all, and drag the first waypoint in another place and ... it works ! magik !!!
But I would like to know how can I drag the route exactly to a reference waypoint.
I have no window to indicate the position of the cursor when I do that...
I tried to change the coordinates of the first one but the linked waypoints don't change accordingly.
Also we work with degrees minutes and seconds, it's a minor prob (many converter to decimal everywhere...)
I have to read all the thread to be able to explain my needs in a better manner...
So... That's a great tool!!!
