Did you try the latest 2.7 release? There have been problems with the 2.5 and 2.6 versions on Windows XP with Internet Explorer 7

I've already used the 2.7 release and the latest prerelease. The OS is continuosly updated. The only thing I've done probably is I've installed Chrome but it isnt my default browser, anyway I've tried to uninstall it.
