No, if that mean the RPE will still remain in the file. I think it is good they are show in RC if they are present in the file.

That information is gold :-) I tried to save it as gpx1.0 as soon as I open the gpx from BC. Then I can delete the "tracks" and the job is done! That is easier than what I did before.

Super sweet would be with a function to erase all RPEs with a function in one of the menus. Like "Purge RPEs" in the PositionsList menu.

Thanks for your time. Now I know why, and how to avoid, undesirable results.

I wrote a tutorial for RC on RideAsia forum, not the best maybe.
