Would it be helpful for you if I added a hidden option to RouteConverter that avoids reading Garmin RoutePointExtensions and displaying it as a track?

No, if that mean the RPE will still remain in the file. I think it is good they are show in RC if they are present in the file.

GPX 1.0 doesn't support extensions - they're lost when converting GPX 1.1 with extensions to GPX 1.0.

That information is gold :-) I tried to save it as gpx1.0 as soon as I open the gpx from BC. Then I can delete the "tracks" and the job is done! That is easier than what I did before.

Super sweet would be with a function to erase all RPEs with a function in one of the menus. Like "Purge RPEs" in the PositionsList menu.
