Hi,

it's the same for me (germany version) and I get it everytime I start RC 2.8 (OS: Win7).

I think this may be happen because I've no admin-rights on my (company) notebook, so that I work only with the RC.exe, without any installation.

best regards, Reinhard

That's a bug in the version 2.8. Please update to version 2.8.3 as it fixes this bug and some other stupid bugs I've built into 2.8, 2.8.1 and 2.8.2.

Hi,

msg from RC 2.8.3 from 10.Sept.2012: ".. A later version null exist. ...".
It's still the same. However I can live with that.
For me it's more important to have a small tool, which works without admin rights.

Otherwise I would take out this automatic "upgrade check". Cost only time during startup.
You may put it under help and let the users descide, if they want check for updates.

Please send me an error report via Help/Send error report...

Please have a look at Extras/Options.../Search for update at start

"Please have a look at Extras/Options.../Search for update at start"

Oooh, (peinlich, peinlich)
that works for the startup situation.

Now I tested it at home - switching off the proxy server.
With both settings it works fine, so I think it was/is caused by the proxy server, which also don't let me use the tab "Durchstöbern" (search/download tracks) on work.
But that's Ok for me - mainly I have to do there other things :-)

Thanks for looking into this, Reinhard
