Strava Heatmap over regular or satellite map

I've just tested this and found that in my area (Northern Germay) only zoom level 11-14 delivered overlay tiles. Did you observe the same behaviour?

Dear Christian,

Here I can view several zoom level tiles in northern Germany, as attached. Note that I need to move the map after zoom, to "force" refresh of tiles.

As a test, did you try to add the lines as a map server instead overlay?

Yes, that gave a better experience. I could see the traffic flow on streets and water from zoom level 2 to 15 ;-)
