Browse / Internet
#1
Hello,

I'm very new with RouteConverter, so may be I'm not using it correctly...

So, my question :

Is there a way to disable the "Internet" category in the Browse feature ?
My problem is when I want to enter in Browse mode, it is always long, and RouteConverter freeze, sometimes for one or two minutes.
And after, when it is alive again, same problem if I clic on an Internet category.

Or may be is there a way to avoid this problem ?
Or is it a bug ?

Best regards,

Hi,

currently there is no method to disable Browse -> Internet. But indeed a interresting idea.

Browse -> Own Routes should stay alive to be able to store own trips on your local computer?

Do you have a slow internet connection? Or do you use RouteConverter without internet connectivity?

Here, it took 18 seconds to load the root category:

Code:
März 06, 2019 9:27:58 NACHM. slash.navigation.routes.remote.RemoteCatalog fetch
INFO: Fetching from https://api.routeconverter.com/v1/categories/1/?format=xml took 17911 milliseconds

Not pretty fast, but not 2-3 minutes.

Let's call it an annoyance ;-)

I've just uploaded a new prerelease, which avoids the initialization of "Internet" if there last selected path was somewhere unter "My Routes". Then click on "Internet" would mean a 2-3 minute delay to you (and unfortunately you cannot see what's going on) but I think that's acceptable for now.

Please test and report.
