This was the first time i used RC. So i loaded a track (wbt-202 *.TES format) and opened the "Browse" tab. Then nothing happens for a long while. So i assumed RD crashed.
Later i found that RC was loading the "categories for routes", which took some time even on an VDSL50 connection.
I would be glad if you introduce a sand glas cursor which indicates that RC is still busy when downloading the categories.

Hi Ditmar,
actually, there is a sand glas cursor - but since the loading is done asynchronously, it's just active until the load process is kicked off - and I don't know, when it ends, since it's done within another thread.
Will think about how to solve it... another solution could be to speed up the loading or cache the last result ;-)

There is another problem besides the sand glas cursor.
During loading the categories one is not able to select another tab. So that gives the feeling that RC has crashed.

In the latest
prerelease, I reduced the amount of HTTP calls for a category, introduced another thread for prefetching and some more places, where the mouse is set to waiting. Feels better for me, how about you?

Now it feels better. But is only a feeling because actualy i know that routeconverter is loading information in the background. But i still can not switch to another tab during loading.

Ooops, I thought I've minimized the amount of time during which the tabs are blocked... here it's difficult to be fast enough clicking onto another tab. You've tested the latest prerelease, do you?
