This problem is not the RC.
Either you have not entered any API key from Google or this has been deleted.
This problem can not be solved by the RC nor does it depend on the used Java version.
The only way to solve it is an API-Key from Google.

Please see the FAQ of the RC website.
The place to enter the API Key can be found under Options.
The only way to get a working API key from Google is an account with stored
credit card informations.
If you do not want to do so, you can use the opensource version
(offline version) of RC.
Best regards,

I just downloaded 2.24.1 RouteConverterWindows.exe.  I get the deletedapiprojectmap error (attached screen grab).

The previous version worked fine.

I can't figure out what will be billed to my card if I get an API key from google.  Does anyone have a simplistic summary?
I also can't find where to put such a key from reading any of the FAQ's.

I am probably doing something dumb (I'm no developer) but any assistance would be great.

Thanks

I do not think you're doing anything stupid.
The reason that your previous version no longer works is Google.
Since several weeks, the Google services work only if there is a valid API key.
The way an API key can be generated is described very well in the FAQ of the
Route-Converter web site.
If you do not want to give your credit card details to Google,
you'll have to use the offline version.
In the offline-version (opensource-version) you'll have
lot's of online-functions but all without Google.

Ok, thanks MC Oban. I can't find the instructions in the FAQ but I'll go with the offline version

You're right,
most API key information is only available in German

Hahaha, ok no problem.  English, Italian, French or Spanish I could manage but sadly German isn't in my brain :o) thanks anyway
