Breaking up the lines between positions in a track won't work. And since it's just a visualization, it doesn't matter.
What's important is the order of the positions in the position list since that's exactly the order that is written to the GPX file.

Linking point a to point 1 means you have to revert point a to f:
  • select point 1 and call Positionlist/Split to get the remainder out of the way for reversing
  • call Positionlist/Reverse completely on the remaining list
  • select point a and call Positionlist/Merge and select the remaining list
