Aber: ich habe bereits das 64bit JRE8 installiert (in C:\Program Files\java\jre8\

Wieso wird das nicht erkannt/genutzt?

Weil das keine PortableApp Java ist. Es muß etwas wie https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/java_portable sein.

Oder alternativ: wenn das PortableApps package wirklich als komplett portable gedacht ist: Warum wird das jre nicht mit hineingepackt?
