.kml to .trp - export not working/changing the route
#1
Hi there, first time user and first time poster. I have searched the threads and did not see an answer to my problem, maybe I missed it.

I have multiple routes I have created on Google Maps following CoPilot's directions ( How do I import routes from Google Maps? : CoPilot App Stores (copilotgps.com) ). I tried contacting CoPilot and their support was not great.

When I upload the .kml into RouteConverter, the route is fine (ex. Route 5 shows as 137.6km).

When I export to .trp, it changes the route to 403km with absurd directions/detours. I have many files I need to convert from .kml to .trp, so please advise/help! Is this user error?

Thank you.

It's actually not a route but a track – which densely set waypoints.

When you give a track to a routing engine like in Copilot, you sometimes geht weird results because the sheer amount of waypoints confuses the routing.

What exactly do you want to achieve?

Thanks for the reply, and correction of it being a track and not a route.

I am trying to create 5 specific routes on CoPilot for our trucks to practice/drive for our driving mentorship program.

Then I'd try to use Positionlist/Convert track to route first to see if that improves the routing in CoPilot.
