Feature Request: Analysing Tracks and calculated overall ascent
#1
I recorded a track during a trip in the alps (Kleinwalsertal). When i opened "Analyse" RouteConverter calculated a overall ascent of 2181 m. But we did not went that up and down ! Of course does our WintTex WBT-202 has fluctuations in measuring the high out of the GPS signal.

Is there a possibility to add something like a smooth function to get a better result for elevation profile?

Can you also add a analyze function for speed over distance?

i add my test case data in WBT-202 *.tes format.

Hi Ditmar,

Maybe the new elevation profile method will better match your vision.
Please see the attachment.
The new method uses the SRTM-hgt files with interpolation and leads,
in your case, to 1399 m instead of 2181 m.

But I think Christian still needs some time to incorporate the new
method.

For background information please see the following thread (in German):

Cheers
Robert

Yes that looks much more reasonable. Thank you.
