Several stop locations from Google Maps??
#1
Is it possible and how to import a route with several stop locations from Google Maps?

I planned a route with 3 stop points (from A to C). When I import the link into RouteConverter 2.0 I get listed only first two points (from A to B).

Yes, drag and drop the Link from Google Maps into RouteConverter. Or email yourself from Google Maps drop the email into RouteConverter.

What do I have to do to reproduce this?

Try for instance this route: Hamburg-Hanover-Warsaw

And here is what I get:

Thank you for the hint. This seems to be a bug in Google Maps. If you drop the URL into RouteConverter, it adds "?output=kml" to the URL and tries to download the route as a Google Earth 3 (*.kml) file. And that file - I've attaced a copy - ends in Hannover.

So, is there a way to fix it by myself? Or I have to wait the next RouteConverter realease?

You google for the reason why Google Maps with output=kml does not include more than one destination. And maybe how to get all destinations, it might be just another parameter that needs to be added?

You know how to download the KML manually by adding &output=kml to the "Link" URL?

I have no idea what google maps does.
if I plan a route from Amsterdam to Paris to Milano and "export" it from Google maps to routeconverter I only get the route to Paris.
Some time ago I wrote my own webpage using google maps DHTML and javascript stuff and also using large parts of christians Javascript stuff.
When I plan the same route (Amsterdam->Paris->Milano) and export it to kml file (via copy&paste into text file; so no link copying here) and open that kml in routeconverter, the complete route is correct.
So, routeconverter does it correctly if it gets the correct data, and the "&output=kml" option from Google Maps is not correct.

You can try yourself with my webpage: http://harryvanderwolf.dyndns.org/gmwc/

Just add the destination in the top line and press go, add the next destination and press go, ..., press the "Calculate Route" button, and export to kml (via copy into text file and save as kml; Hey, it works. It's not the most luxurious routeplanner in the world).
I stopped working on it after Christian improved the osx version of routeconverter and (the pre-release version of) routeconverter now seems "complete" for OSX.
