Lauching problem on Mac
#1
Hello,

Since the last update, I cannot launch RouteConverter on my Mac OS 10.5.8.
I use the latest version of Java.

Here is a message from the console :

Quote:04/03/11 05:23:17 com.apple.launchd[79] ([0x0-0x31031].routeconverter.com[353]) posix_spawnp("/Users/krop/Downloads/RouteConverterMac64.app/Contents/MacOS/RouteConverter", ...): No such file or directory

Does this mean that previous versions of RouteConverter worked? Which ones?

Please post the complete console output here.

The previous version worked fine, I launch it last night and the soft warn me about a new version avalaible.
Then, I got to the website and dowload the latest 64 bits version, but it don't work.
And when I try to run the 32 bits version, it show me a message saying that my system does not support this application.

Here is all I found in the system.log :

system.log Wrote:Mar 4 20:18:07 K-iMac-2 com.apple.launchd[79] ([0x0-0x4a04a].routeconverter.com[1379]): posix_spawnp("/Applications/RouteConverterMac64.app/Contents/MacOS/RouteConverter", ...): No such file or directory

I found the problem: the RouteConverter script inside the RouteConverter.app.zip contains Windows CR/LF line endings after I've switched to github as a source repository. I'm going to fix this when I'm home again next Wednesday. In the mean time you could open the RouteConverter.app.zip and search for the RouteConverterMac.jar and start it by double clicking it.

That's working by this way, but the map don't display on the left side, there's an error message in place of it (see attachment).

I guess the message on the screenshot explains why: you're using a 32-bit RouteConverter with a 64-bit Java (or the other way around).

I've just uploaded a new prerelease. Please download the 64-bit Mac version and try again. Does it work for you?

Hi, new to RouteConverter (and the forum ;-)
Downloaded the latest prereleases, both 64-bit, but the app won't start (Console: 27-04-11 11:10:17 com.apple.launchd.peruser.502[196] ([0x0-0x80080].routeconverter.com[714]) Exited with exit code: 1)
and the .jar doesn't show the map on the left side.

Any clues?

Thanks.

Could you double check that Contents/Mac OS/RouteConverter within the app doesn't contain Windows CR/LF line endings?

But at least it comes up. What's logged in /tmp/RouteConverter.log or on the console?
