How about download map?
#1
I found user can download map on menu View-Maps, and I tried but seems nothing happened. How to user this function? Can I download an offline satelite map around a track then import it to mobile app such like LocusMap?

You can only download maps available in the tab "offline". Choose a map in "downloadable maps" then click "download" and wait, depending on the map's size and your internet connection the download may take some time. If the download has been successful this map can be displayed by choosing it in the "map" dropdown menu.

As an addition: you may download map files which adhere to the mapsforge file format and place them in %HOME%/.routeconverter/maps where they're found upon the startup of RouteConverter.

Yes,I see the list of 'Maps avaiable for download', what's the purpose of downloading them? Are they additional offline map source, there is no description about them.

Imagine a laptop at non WiFi environment or, worst case, a offline environment.
