Elevation 1" arc

It's straight forward as HGT is NASA's standard format for the SRTM dataset:

https://dds.cr.usgs.gov/srtm/version2_1/SRTM1/

SRTM elevation data in other formats is converted from NASA data.

As one of several alternatives for Europe you have:

http://viewfinderpanoramas.org/dem1d.html
http://viewfinderpanoramas.org/Coverage%...s_org1.htm

At least Global Mapper can also write HGT files.

You're invited to develop it and submit a pull request ;-)

Btw, I've never heard of these formats. Can you provide technical specs and download locations for it?

Not for Europe, only USA in 1" arc

Not so good, it is first release of SRTM1, no void-filled

This one contain SRTM1 Global version 3, void-filled in HGT format :

https://dwtkns.com/srtm30m/

At least Global Mapper can also write HGT files.

I'm not Java developer, sorry... ;-)

BIL / HDR : http://webhelp.esri.com/arcgisdesktop/9....ster_files

GeoTIFF : https://www.geospatialworld.net/article/...lications/

SRTM1v3 in GeoTIFF : https://gdex.cr.usgs.gov/gdex/. (needs an account, free)

I was talking about free softwares, like QGIS, Global Mapper is (too) expensive...

Thanks for your job, and best regards

Maybe you should read the accompanying text.

Maybe you should read the accompanying text.

"The resolution for SRTM Void Filled data is 1 arc-second for the United States and 3 arc-seconds for global coverage."

But, no matter, I've found all SRTM1v3 HGT files I needed, it's OK for me now...

Best regards
