using 3.1 .gpx generated when exported it appears as a broken line
#1
Hi, maybe I'm wrong something easy, but I have this problem: I create a track and I view it correctly.
Then export the file (.kml or .gpx) and on Google Eart (or Orux Maps) I don't see the same track but a broken line

I use Linux and RC 3.1, Brouter, hiking-beta (or trekking or fastbike). I include .gpx and screenshots

Thanks.

Hi,

your GPX file contains a route, not a track. To convert it to a track go to menu -> position list -> convert route to track.

Thanks for your quick solution, but there is something I do not understand:

If I create a route I see it correctly in the screen, but when I export it it is a broken line.

If I create a track I see it as a broken line on the screen  and when I export it it is a broken line

That is it would seem that what I see on the screen is different from reality Sad

No, it's different from what you expect.

If the positionlist is displayed as a route the continuous line following the trails and roads between the routepoints is created by BRouter by generating lots of intermediate points. If you want to export this continuous line you have to convert the route to a track as described above.

Switching the positionlist from route to track switches the display mode, it does not convert the previous route to a continuous track following trails and roads. After switching to track the former routepoints in the list are interpreted as trackpoints and consecutively connected by beelines without any additional intermediate points.

Please make yourself more familiar with the difference between routes and tracks.
Your route has 63 points, the derived track has 1346 points.
Grüße
Hans

I was afraid that there was some gross error of mine ... and so it was!
Now everything is clearer to me.
Thanks many for your patience and courtesy.
